Bering Strait

Maha’s Bering Strait drop delves into the signature theme of duality, using the Strait as a symbol of the meeting point between East and West. A natural border between Russia and Alaska, the strait serves as the intersection where two worlds collide—geographically, culturally, and historically; it was the narrow sea via which ancient Asian people travelled to become the first indigenous Americans.

This duality is explored through embroidered designs that embody the balance between opposing forces, such as yin-yang-inspired bears which represent the merging of polar opposites, a motif central to Maharishi's philosophy.

Additionally, the collection features intricately embroidered maps on either side of tour-style jackets, symbolising the convergence of East and West at the Bering Strait. Through these elements, Maharishi highlights the timeless interplay between opposing forces and cultures, merging them into a cohesive, harmonious whole
