Everything Is Recorded is the creative project of Richard Russell, founder of XL Recordings. Since forming in 2016, the band has brought together a rotating cast of artists to explore themes of time, nature, and seasonal transition — with past collaborators including Sampha, Florence Welch, CASISDEAD, Tic, Laura Groves, Roses Gabor, Samantha Morton, Berwyn, Georgia, Yazz Ahmed, Clari Freeman-Taylor and Mela Murder.

Hardy Blechman, Maharishi's founder and creative director, has worked with Everything Is Recorded since the project began, contributing artwork and visual direction across each release.

The Solstice Equinox Double LP compiles music from four seasonal projects — Summer Solstice, Autumn Equinox, Winter Solstice, and Spring Equinox — marking the first time all four instalments have been brought together on vinyl. Each release was tied to its respective seasonal date, recorded at Copper House Studio, and released with limited Maharishi garments reflecting the cyclical themes of the music.

To mark the compilation, Maharishi produced a commemorative T-shirt designed by Hardy — now sold out — which was available from 20 June 2025 via maharishistore.pro and in Maharishi's London and New York stores, alongside the LP on XL Recordings.
